Last month, SeekHer Foundation hosted a free intimate wellness event located at The Point in El Segundo, in partnership with Athleta and Pure Leaf, as well as a few other brands- including us! We all came together to help women ignite our limitless potential and support our mental health.
Check out our latest video recap below!
It was an inspiring morning, filled with community, conversation, and self-care practices. Cura Home styled the conversation spaces with some of our favorite furniture and decor to create an uplifting environment for the guest speakers and attendees to enjoy.
Healing vibes only: the event started with a grounding breathwork session to center ourselves with energy healer and wellness leader Millana Snow.
Dr. Monica Mo, founder of SeekHer Foundation, hosted the event and led conversations around why "No Is Beautiful", discussing actionable ways to set boundaries without guilt, reclaim your time, and define success on your own terms.
We were introduced to a recent "No" Grants recipient, Mercedes Samudio, as she and Monica discussed how to say no at work and yes to yourself, why women in particular have such a hard time saying no, and the power of the #NoIsBeautiful community. Building community is crucial to our mental health and SeekHer encouraged interacting with other attendees and building intentional connections through group activities like a fun shop & seek scavenger hunt throughout The Point.
Attendees shared and hung their intention on the branches of an intention tree to help inspire others with their story.
All of the site vendors were so sweet and everyone enjoyed offerings by Kendra Scott, Athleta, morning juices from Pressed Juicery, and cold iced tea beverages from the Pure Leaf Tea station.
As a thank you, each person received a wellness goodie bag to take home that included skincare products, a reading book, healthy snacks, and discount codes to shop at various brands.
We enjoyed being a part of this inspiring and successful event along with 40 attendees that helped build community among local businesses and women in LA. $700 was raised in donations to help the SeekHer Foundation continue in their work to support women's mental health! We look forward to the next wellness event and contributing more to our local communities! Hosting a community event where Cura Home would be a good fit? Email us at marketing@mycurahome.com!
